This is the name of the business started by Dodd Mohr and me in Washtenaw County Michigan on August 12, 1983.
Every once in a while, I’ll post references to our history on Saline Journal. Others may have done the same. Meantime, here are some highlights.
- Certification on first business filing dated August 12, 1983
- First appearance in Saline Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade (1983)
- Automotive News World Expo 84
- First appearance (on front page) in The Saline Reporter (1984)
- Coverage of Democratic Presidential candidate Walter Mondale (1984)
- First aerial photography work (1985)
- Coverage of inaugural Saline “Pre-Prix” (1986)
On January 31, 1988 I bought out his interests and for all intents and purposes became all there was of that former partnership. As a long-time fan of the original Dallas television series, I rather fancy thinking about that Season 4 episode where Jock Ewing asserted, “I am Takapa.”
D² Enterprises has operated continuously since its inception. Successfully so — to this very day
There was a time when it held position at top of my personal website Page index. The fact that it is no longer in that spot (though obviously not settled to the bottom) is growth for me.
So, too, is the fact that related entity d2 Saline, allows for both a lower-case letter d and eschews any notion of a superscript number 2.
Sorry about that, Dodd.
